WHAT IS FOOD INSECURITY?

Food insecurity refers to when a person or family does not have reliable access to affordable, nutritious food on a regular basis. It affects millions of people across the country, including children, seniors, and working families.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

We serve individuals and families in need within our local community, regardless of background or circumstance. Our goal is to reduce hunger and increase access to healthy food for everyone. We do this by providing support through food drive events, care-pack creation and awareness campaigns to assist local food banks.

HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers can help by packing food, distributing care packs, running food drives, assisting with events, and supporting outreach. Fill out an application (Located in the links section) to be eligible to volunteer with us. Additional training will be required for specific roles.

DO VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS?

Yes. We provide verified volunteer hours for all participants. School, NHS, and community hours are logged and sent early May. (If required earlier, please email theheartpantry@gmail.com a week to two in advance)

DO YOU PARTNER WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS?

Yes. We work with food banks, businesses, and community groups to expand our reach and increase impact. If your organization is interested in collaborating, contact us - we'd love to partner.
